Job Description for: General Manager

 Reports to: District Manager, Office

 General Summary: 

The General Manager is the highest store manager position in the Bennett Management Corp. management structure. The General Manager reports directly to their District Manager and is responsible for achieving goals set by the company. The General Manager position includes the responsibilities of other subordinate managers in addition to tasks unique to their position.

Mental Demands: 

The General Manager requires an individual with very highly developed and sharp managerial skills in order to perform all tasks required of them. General Managers are responsible for all processes and procedures outlined above and ensuring that all managers are carrying out their jobs properly. They must also be adaptable in order to solve problems as they arise. A great General Manager possesses problem solving abilities, time management skills, and attention to detail above that of all other managers within Bennett Management Corp. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential for working with the employees and managers they supervise and for dealing with customer problems as they arise in there store.  

Physical Demands: 

The physical demands required of a General Manager are not severe but are still strenuous. General Managers are required to be on their feet for much if not their entire shift. The job also includes bending at the waist, lifting light loads, reaching for objects, filling out extensive paperwork, staring at computer screens for periods of time, preparing food items and hearing employees and customers though background noise.
